Questions

1. What is your opinion about using blogs to teach "writing" in EFL classrooms?
I think that it is a good idea, because all students work and have the opportunity to share their pieces of writing with classmates.

2. Do you like working using blogs?
Yes! It is very interesting and a good opportunity to learn to publish pieces of writing on internet.

3. What are some of the advantages of using blogs?
You can share articles, check them and correct everything. Teacher can check how students are working class by class and help them to learn.

4. What are some of the disadvantages?
Students tent to copy their assignments and it is hard to check everything. It needs too much time of the teacher
5. Do you plan to use blogs in the future?
Why not? It is interesting and easy to use.

Do you have any suggestions to improve these "lab sessions"? or was everything all right?
University should improve the speed of connection, because it is too slow and it's difficult and boring work with so many troubles with the connection. But that is not fault of the teacher.

Why is Writing important for an EFL teacher?

It is important because we are preparing our selves to be specialists. We should be able to communicate in the best way.

An article says that speaking and listening are natural for learners of a language, but writing have to be learned by hard, consciously.

Many years ago, in a kingdom of North, there was a beautiful but sad girl called Deborah. Her father was dead and she never met her mother. Her father taught how to use magic and he gave her a magic watch. He told her that the watch was powerful but he never told her how to use it.

One day, she thought how much she missed her father and tried to find the way to be with her father again.

In the town, there was an old man who knew much more magic than Deborah. His name was Angas. He was Deborah’s father best friend, but she didn’t know it.

It was a spring afternoon. Deborah was crying in the town square with her father’s watch in her hand, when Angas saw her. He at once recognized the watch. Then he walked to her way and sat down next to her. He told her who was him and how he knew the watch. He also said that the watch had the power to go back in time. Deborah couldn’t believe what she was hearing; finally she could be with his father!

Next morning she tried to use the watch to go back with his father, but she couldn’t. At night, she went to Angas house. He knew exactly what to say. That night she went back with her father and nobody knew about her any more.

Use your imagination

Hello, my name is Sylvia Thomson and this is my story.

I was 17 when my parents got divorced. Their relationship was not bad, but my father had another family and my mother realized about that too late. This problem affected me very much. I felt alone and without any hope. And I also failed several subjects at college.

When I thought that there weren’t solutions, a classmate told me that God is able to help everybody who wants His help. Also, he told me that there was a place where many people with problems can go, the church.

The first time in church I felt very strange, but with the time I met nice people with bigger problems than mines, and I realized that they much more happy than I. From that day on, I’m very happy, even if a have problems, because I know that God helps me.
